V&A WATEFRONT FINANCE & CENTRAL SERVICES
This team provides the financial means and reporting & analysis to ensure that all the other departments in the Waterfront are able to meet their objectives, while ensuring that the company achieves its financial objectives as a whole.
They also provide the technological and administrative infrastructures that allow the V&A departments to continue running smoothly, from Procurement to IT.
V&A WATERFRONT PLANNING & DEVELOPMENT
The V&AW’s Planning and Development Department is responsible for growing the V&A Waterfront's existing investment portfolio by developing appropriate new retail, office, hotel, entertainment, harbour industrial and related infrastructure projects, to enhance the current mix of uses. As such, the Team manages turnkey property developments, including conceptualising, planning, land use approvals, financial procurement, design control, construction procurement, quality control, project commissioning and property development services.
V&A WATERFRONT MARKETING
The Marketing team's drive is to ensure 22 million visits to the Waterfront annually with a forecasted spend per visit, as well as build and maintain the Waterfront brand image to continue creating a demand for office, retail, leisure and residential premises.
Marketing the Waterfront includes Special Events & Promotions, Retail Marketing, Media Communications, E-Marketing, CRM, Customer Service, Public Relations and Tourism Services and Info, ensuring that we have the most exciting and successful mixed-use property locally, nationally and internationally. Our customers are key to our success!
V&A WATERFRONT SAFETY & SECURITY
The Security Department consists of 340 staff with a number of functions and areas of specialisation. During a normal month approximately 1.8 million people and 920,000 vehicles enter the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront. The crime and incident statistics, however, reflect one of the lowest figures in the country.
Our officers are trained in skills such as public relations to handling medical emergencies. With CCTV cameras and highly qualified operators, visitors, tenants and staff can be assured of a high standard of safety and security.
Our parking system is fully computerised with a live management system, and our stores department provides a service to the Services' maintenance, electrical, aircon, horticulture, cleaning & security chemicals sections.
V&A WATERFRONT PROPERTY MANAGEMENT
The main functions of this team comprise of: tenant liaison, space management (e.g. tenant mix, leasing and use control), bottom line responsibility for operating profit of Property Portfolio, and other specialised services such as Small Business development, Marine management of working harbour, marina & canal and legal and insurance support services.
The diversity of uses of Waterfront property, the hands on approach of the department and continuous interaction with our tenants makes this a unique and fascinating field. We are fortunate to deal with the cream of the crop in terms of highly successful tenants in all categories.
V&A WATERFRONT SERVICES
The Waterfront property covers some 85 buildings and 900 tenants, and this is the team dedicated to keeping everything ‘ship shape’.
Comprised of the Environmental & Cleaning, Marine & Infrastructure, Facilities Management, Landscaping and Administration teams, the team looks after the maintenance, engineering and general upkeep of all assets within the entire precinct to world class standards.
