Our brand Forestware, is expanding locally and internationally. Forestware is conceptualized by Anthony Shapiro and manufactured in their beautiful studio overlooking the Constantia Valley, where skills’ training is their core mission. Besides Forestware, the store is carefully curated with a handful of other South African ceramists work. We work out of a 1950’s original Bauhaus building in Cecelia Forest, off Constantia Nek. This building was donated to Art in the Forest to be used as a centre of ceramic excellence. This encompasses skills development, training and free pottery classes to children that have no access to any form of creativity. Apart from producing our Forestware brand, we also take on commissions from decorators and retailers. We offer a minimum of 4 exhibitions per year, pottery classes, outreach programmes and workshops.info@artintheforest.comhttps://www.facebook.com/artintheforestArt in the Forest‘s signature ceramics are contemporary, classical and very proudly South African. He was always attracted to the simplicity of Scandinavian design. Visitors will find Scandinavian simplicity translated into magical, African, Zen-like wares. As a commercially successful potter Anthony Shapiro understands product development and this results in our artists producing product that is streamlined for the retail environment. </div>1
