The Master of the Trade Route Culinary Challenge is the perfect opportunity for Capetonians to rediscover the flavours of their city. 27 of our restaurants have taken up the challenge to create a fusion, winter-style dish that would suit your pocket. Some of our delis and coffee shops have also entered into the spirit of things and will be offering their own version of a fusion dish on their menus. From fancy French to dashing Italian; from spicy Indian to hearty Malay; from passionately Portuguese to traditionally Spanish ~ keep discovering ~

Visit any of our 27 participating restaurants and order their special fusion dish. Then go to Facebook.com/VandAWaterfront and give your meal a score, or complete the entry form at the restaurant. Simply by rating your meal you stand a chance to win double tickets to our glittering gala event where the Top 8 restaurants will compete for the crown, and you could also enjoy 27 dining experiences at participating restaurants.

The same dishes you enjoy will also be judged by celebrity judges: food writers, bloggers and critics. Based on their scores, 8 V&A restaurants will be selected to compete against each other at a glittering gala event where the Ultimate Master will be crowned – and you could be there to enjoy the results of their skills, imagination and innovation!
